Chainlink VRF Citizenship NFTs Randomization Complete We have completed the randomization of the Citizenship NFT whitelist to ensure all those minting have a fair chance to claim NFTs. Although the main utility of Citizenship NFTs is available to all holders, the collection is made up of different editions, numbers and traits and so some of the NFTs are likely to be more collectable than others. This is why ensuring a fair mint was important. To make this possible, we used Chainlinks Verified Randomness Function, which is onchain and can be proven to be fair and tamper-proof. For the technical members of our community, here is how we achieved this fair mint. 1. The database of wallet addresses is ordered alphabetically. 2. Coupons are generated for wallets containing ID, expiry, and signed using EIP721. 3. The IPFS link to the whitelist database was stored as an event on-chain for transparency. 4. The random word for entropy is generated on-chain using Chainlink VRF/RNG. 5. Minting accessibility is verified on-chain based on the coupon signature. This process ensures that no matter who you are, everyone has a truly random chance at minting some unique artwork and specialty traits! The Satoshi Island team will mint the first Citizenship NFT in order to be able to add the collection details to OpenSea but this first-ever Citizenship NFT will not be kept by the team but instead available to win at a later date, giving one lucky Satoshi Islander the honour of owning the first every Satoshi Island Citizenship NFT. Citizenship NFTs Deployed! It's finally here! The Satoshi Island Citizenship NFT smart contract and mint page has been deployed and the mint will begin shortly! The next step, planned for later today is the randomization of the 18,000 WL addresses and the NFTs via Chainlink VRF. This randomization process ensures that all those on the WL have a fair chance to mint rare traits and unique designs.
